More text updates care of ELM from AU:

"Camping w/ Dad--he is a big hit with the tour group. I feel popular being around him. Time for bed-(we are) sleeping in the same cabin and hope everyone doesn't hear him snore."

Updates on Bernie in AU, care of ELM

Not a Bernie Note per se, but an update on his AU visit from ELM:

"So, last comment and then I'm signing off forever. Dad is taking a nap. We went for a short run, and I think I'm turning into him. Afterwards, I ran to the bank and then the post office, then I ran a longer loop home (and ended up running back with a plastic bag). OMG. AND, after our run, I said, "did you count how far it was?" And he said, "you know what? That was the FIRST time that I didn't count my steps, and that's because I wanted to talk with you." IMPRESSIVE."

"P.S. There is this little news clip called Odd Spot on the front page of the paper. It's usually just fun to read. Is this dad or what? "Tony Sanders, 66, has been dubbed Britain's greenest homeowner. He has not used his bin to collect anything but rainwater for 2.5 years. He recycles everything from paper and leftover food to plastic and old clothes. He spends TWO HOURS a day SORTING out rubbish before CYCLING with his unusable stuff to a RECYCLING PLANT." (Caps not included)."
